1, 2, 3 Apply!-image

Welcome to the Arrive Perimeter Blog. If this is your first time visiting us, or if you recently discovered our exciting apartment community in Atlanta, Georgia, then get ready for today’s blog post. Today we’ll be taking a look at a few key things that are helpful when filling out an application for a new apartment. Keep these things in mind: Do a Read-Through: Before you begin filling out an application, read it through to get a general idea of what will be required and what information and documentation you will need to have on hand. Verify Your Credit: It’s important to know where you stand financially before you start filling out an application for a new apartment. Getting a copy of your credit report is a good place to begin. Review the report and verify that the information is accurate. If it isn’t, take steps to make corrections before you fill out an application. Determine if your credit matches the requirements of the application. This is a good way to avoid surprises and disappointment based on credit. Documentation Preparation: Track down and gather up the documentation you will need before you begin to fill out the application. In most instances, you will need your driver’s license, social security card, proof of employment, and references. Many applications require a copy of these documents to be attached. Scanning and saving these documents as PDF files prior to starting the application can expedite the process when you are actually filling in the application. Double-Check the Document: Before you submit your application, check it for accuracy and completeness. Doing this ensures that the information you’ve recorded is correct. Be sure to check for typos and correct spelling. First impressions count, even if it’s only an application. We look forward to welcoming new residents to our apartment community!

Pumpkin Carving? Why Not Watermelon?-image

Have you ever thought of carving something other than pumpkins during the month of October? As we searched the internet for unusual Halloween-themed activities, we came across an entire slew of pumpkin carving alternative ideas. From watermelon to zucchini, these carving ideas may just be your next perfect Halloween tradition. Try carving something new inside of your Arrive Perimeter apartment before the holiday passes! Watermelon Carving a watermelon instead of a pumpkin just makes sense. Similar to carving a pumpkin, the watermelon provides the perfect canvas for any spooky art design. One thing that we love about this summertime fruit is the transition of color: green to white to red; with a battery-operated tea light placed inside, you’ll be able to give a boost of creepiness to your creation. This Halloween, carve out a brain or a monster with a bloody appetite. Or, stretch your creativity even further and come up with your own creation! Pineapple The light inside of this Prickly Pineapple-O’-Lantern is incredibly fitting for Halloween. Just this one example gives us a bunch of ideas of how to make a great Halloween even better, not to mention a yummy snack on the side. Apple An apple-o’-lantern is almost like the shrunken head version of a jack-o’-lantern. Watch this YouTube video to see an example of how one is made. Zucchini Do you have an oversized zucchini ? If so, this might be the perfect craft! From the link: “A Jack-O’-Lantern works best with an [oversized] zucchini. One that your hand can fit into, ideally – this makes it easier to carve out its guts. To hollow it out, cut off the top and carve around the circumference leaving about a quarter inch thick skin. Use a long metal spoon to scrape out the interior…” Thanks for visiting the Arrive Perimeter Blog! We hope you have a fantastic month and holiday celebration. If you try out any of these suggestions, let our Atlanta, GA apartment community know how it went by leaving a comment.

Cooking Dinner? Read Up On Tips!-image

Welcome back to our Arrive Perimeter Blog. We searched online to find some of the best cooking tips. Learn what Redditors have to share! Reddit is a website where people can post content such as links, text posts, and images, which people can comment and vote on. The more popular the comments in the post, the more points they receive. Here are just a few of the many best cooking tips we found. Apply them the next time you cook in your Atlanta, GA apartment. Learn how to hold a chef's knife properly . Don’t crowd the frying pan. If you put a significantly small amount of meat in the pan, the meat comes out more tasty and caramelized. This takes a lot longer to cook all your meat than simply loading up the pan, but it makes a big difference. When cutting onions, chew gum. The increased saliva production forces you to breathe through your mouth and the moisture in the mouth absorbs the chemicals that irritate your eyes. Think of garlic as a vegetable, not a spice. Learn how long your different dishes take to cook so they're all finished at the same time (boiled potatoes take about 20 minutes to cook, carrots and turnips take longer, steamed asparagus takes about 4 minutes after the water boils, and a thin steak is well done in 12 minutes). Knowing when to start cooking each food can make the difference between eating a delicious stir fry with firm vegetables or a slimy plate of mush. Salt the steaks before they hit the pan by an hour or more. You'll get yummy crust steaks every time. Calibrate your oven temperature. Just because it says 350 degrees doesn’t mean it’s 350 degrees. A small amount of sugar helps balance out the flavors if you’ve accidentally added too much of something. Too much salt? No problem. Thanks for reading this month’s blog post. We hope you have a great month in Atlanta!

Scary Reads in June-image

Adventure, action, and romance all make for a great story, but sometimes we just want to be scared silly; and there are a lot of ways to accomplish that — scary movies or sitting around a campfire telling spooky stories. But when you’re home alone at your Atlanta, GA Arrive Perimeter apartment at night, one of the best ways to creep yourself out is a horror novel. Here are two spooky books to check out this month: I Am Not a Serial Killer by Dan Wells “John Wayne Cleaver is dangerous, and he knows it. He's spent his life doing his best not to live up to his potential. He's obsessed with serial killers, but really doesn't want to become one. So for his own sake, and the safety of those around him, he lives by rigid rules he's written for himself, practicing normal life as if it were a private religion that could save him from damnation. “Dead bodies are normal to John. He likes them, actually. They don't demand or expect the empathy he's unable to offer. Perhaps that's what gives him the objectivity to recognize that there's something different about the body the police have just found behind the Wash-n-Dry Laundromat — and to appreciate what that difference means. Now, for the first time, John has to confront a danger outside himself, a threat he can't control, a menace to everything and everyone he would love, if only he could.” Space Eldritch Short Story Collection “Science fiction goes occult in SPACE ELDRITCH, a volume of seven original novelettes and novellas of Lovecraftian pulp space opera. Featuring work by Brad R. Torgersen (Hugo/ Nebula/Campbell nominee), Howard Tayler (multiple Hugo nominee), and Michael R. Collings (author of over 100 books), plus a foreword by New York Times bestselling author Larry Correia, SPACE ELDRITCH inhabits the intersection between the eternal adventure of the final frontier and the inhuman darkness between the stars.”

Laundry Day Tips-image

Having hookups for a washer and dryer is one of our many amenities available for residents. Not only is the setup of these appliances straightforward, It also beats driving around Atlanta, GA in search of an open laundromat on a Saturday night. Today, our Arrive Perimeter Blog has a few laundry day tips to help you conquer the laundry on the day of your choosing. Doing laundry in your apartment may sound boring, but there are ways to make it easier and more effective. Stain Treatment Print out a basic stain removal guide and hang it by your washer; that way you will know what you need to make a solution for treating stains where and when you need it. For a more in-depth stain removal information refer to this Stain Solutions Guide put out by the University of Illinois’ Extension Office. Washing & Drying It may seem like a hassle, but Lifehacker suggests checking the tags . Before you start washing, check the tags on each item of clothing. This will help you determine just how to wash each load. You can then sort your laundry by tag. Which clothes need to be washed in cold water? Warm water? Does an item need to be hand washed or dry cleaned? Washing your clothing correctly will help it last longer. Throw a dry towel into your dryer with wet laundry — it will absorb moisture and speed up the drying process. Fold items right out of the dryer to help them keep those crisp fold lines while in your drawers. Other Tips Don’t lose socks! Provide each member of your household with a zippered mesh bag for dirty socks. On laundry day collect, zip, wash, dry, and then return. No more lost socks! Babble recommends pre-sorting your laundry by having several hampers. Put your laundry into each hamper right away — this will save you time (and a lot of hassle) when you’re throwing your laundry into the machine on laundry day. We hope you find these tips helpful! What are your tips for making laundry day go smoothly? Please share in the comments so we can all benefit. Thanks for reading today’s post.
