Pumpkin Carving? Why Not Watermelon?

carving a face out of a watermelon like you would a pumpkin

Have you ever thought of carving something other than pumpkins during the month of October? As we searched the internet for unusual Halloween-themed activities, we came across an entire slew of pumpkin carving alternative ideas. From watermelon to zucchini, these carving ideas may just be your next perfect Halloween tradition. Try carving something new inside of your Arrive Perimeter apartment before the holiday passes!

Watermelon

Carving a watermelon instead of a pumpkin just makes sense. Similar to carving a pumpkin, the watermelon provides the perfect canvas for any spooky art design. This Halloween, carve out a brain or a monster with a bloody appetite. Or, stretch your creativity even further and come up with your own creation!

Apple

One that your hand can fit into, ideally – this makes it easier to carve out its guts. To hollow it out, cut off the top and carve around the circumference leaving about a quarter inch thick skin. Use a long metal spoon to scrape out the interior…”
