1, 2, 3 Apply!-image

Welcome to the Arrive Perimeter Blog. If this is your first time visiting us, or if you recently discovered our exciting apartment community in Atlanta, Georgia, then get ready for today’s blog post. Today we’ll be taking a look at a few key things that are helpful when filling out an application for a new apartment. Keep these things in mind: Do a Read-Through: Before you begin filling out an application, read it through to get a general idea of what will be required and what information and documentation you will need to have on hand. Verify Your Credit: It’s important to know where you stand financially before you start filling out an application for a new apartment. Getting a copy of your credit report is a good place to begin. Review the report and verify that the information is accurate. If it isn’t, take steps to make corrections before you fill out an application. Determine if your credit matches the requirements of the application. This is a good way to avoid surprises and disappointment based on credit. Documentation Preparation: Track down and gather up the documentation you will need before you begin to fill out the application. In most instances, you will need your driver’s license, social security card, proof of employment, and references. Many applications require a copy of these documents to be attached. Scanning and saving these documents as PDF files prior to starting the application can expedite the process when you are actually filling in the application. Double-Check the Document: Before you submit your application, check it for accuracy and completeness. Doing this ensures that the information you’ve recorded is correct. Be sure to check for typos and correct spelling. First impressions count, even if it’s only an application. We look forward to welcoming new residents to our apartment community!

Pumpkin Carving? Why Not Watermelon?-image

Have you ever thought of carving something other than pumpkins during the month of October? As we searched the internet for unusual Halloween-themed activities, we came across an entire slew of pumpkin carving alternative ideas. From watermelon to zucchini, these carving ideas may just be your next perfect Halloween tradition. Try carving something new inside of your Arrive Perimeter apartment before the holiday passes! Watermelon Carving a watermelon instead of a pumpkin just makes sense. Similar to carving a pumpkin, the watermelon provides the perfect canvas for any spooky art design. One thing that we love about this summertime fruit is the transition of color: green to white to red; with a battery-operated tea light placed inside, you’ll be able to give a boost of creepiness to your creation. This Halloween, carve out a brain or a monster with a bloody appetite. Or, stretch your creativity even further and come up with your own creation! Pineapple The light inside of this Prickly Pineapple-O’-Lantern is incredibly fitting for Halloween. Just this one example gives us a bunch of ideas of how to make a great Halloween even better, not to mention a yummy snack on the side. Apple An apple-o’-lantern is almost like the shrunken head version of a jack-o’-lantern. Watch this YouTube video to see an example of how one is made. Zucchini Do you have an oversized zucchini ? If so, this might be the perfect craft! From the link: “A Jack-O’-Lantern works best with an [oversized] zucchini. One that your hand can fit into, ideally – this makes it easier to carve out its guts. To hollow it out, cut off the top and carve around the circumference leaving about a quarter inch thick skin. Use a long metal spoon to scrape out the interior…” Thanks for visiting the Arrive Perimeter Blog! We hope you have a fantastic month and holiday celebration. Start a Cleaning Schedule-image

This month, the Arrive Perimeter Blog is focusing on helping you keep your Atlanta, Georgia apartment clean. In today’s post, we’ve put together a cleaning schedule of tasks to do daily, weekly, monthly, and periodically. If you tend to put cleaning off to the side, then a cleaning schedule could make all the difference. Of course, this guide is brief, and ultimately it’s up to you to determine what needs to be cleaned and how frequently. We hope, however, that this helps you keep things under control and your apartment looking the way that you want it. Daily Cleaning — Make bed — Do dishes — Do laundry, as needed (or simply sort and treat stains and odors) — Sweep kitchen floor — Sanitize and wipe down sinks and surfaces   Weekly Cleaning — Mop floors — Vacuum carpet — Scrub bathroom and kitchen surfaces and appliances — Clean mirrors — Dust — Wash bedding   Monthly Cleaning — Dust blinds — Clean light fixtures — Clean large appliances (dishwasher, washing machines, etc.) — Wash vents   Periodic Cleaning — Garbage disposal: These can be cleaned by putting ice (frozen water, frozen lemon juice, or frozen vinegar) down the disposal. This will help get rid of bacteria under the plastic ring. — Exterior kitchen cabinets: These can be cleaned using Dawn dish soap to remove greasy stains. — Curtains and furniture: Use your vacuum to clean off dust and dirt from these fabrics. — Light switches, doorknobs, and baseboards: These areas can get dirty and dusty. Use a wet washcloth or a dryer sheet to clean and sanitize them. — Window screens: Take out the screens and wash in warm soapy water. You’ll be surprised at the difference it will make.   Cleaning your apartment is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. However, cleaning that is postponed can start to affect more than just the ambiance of the place — it can affect your schedule heavily. Stay on top of the cleaning by keeping to a set cleaning schedule. Doing so will make sure that things never pile up too much. What cleaning habits work for you? Let everyone know in the comments. How to Make Money with YouTube-image

Many people make money from home and some of those people are doing it by using YouTube. This online platform has a mission “to give everyone a voice and show them the world. We believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories.” Since the first YouTube video in 2005, more and more people have been uploading and posting videos every year. To date, there are over 1.3 billion users, with 300 hours of video uploaded every single minute! And close to 5 billion videos are watched almost every single day. Check out these YouTube statistics for more fun and shocking facts. With so many users, it’s no surprise that people are making money. Of the top ten earners on the website, the highest is Michelle Phan , whose net worth is upwards of $50 Million. Yes, she had a plan to become a doctor — or at least her parents did — but who knew that making makeup tutorial videos online could bring an amount of money greater than someone’s yearly salary every single month? The question is: “How do they do it?” You’ve probably wondered how people legitimately make enough money through the internet. It’s not an uncommon question. In fact, more and more people are asking this very question; if it’s not about YouTube, it’s about blogging, and if it’s not about blogging then it’s some other online solution. Today, the Arrive Perimeter Blog is sharing a few tips to getting the most (and that means “making money”) with a YouTube account. Sounds fun, right? Getting paid to make videos in or out of your Atlanta, GA apartment. The options for what type of video you can post are endless. If you’ve never set up a YouTube account, it’s quite simple. Just follow these instructions . After that comes the hard part. Before you can make money, you need an audience. Lucky for you, there are over 5 billion people browsing YouTube every single day — so whatever your style of videos, there’s bound to be someone who fits your target audience. Basically, the bigger your audience — number of subscribers — the more money you will potentially make. YouTube has released a simple guide to help you learn about the steps to take in order to make money. Check out these tips to monetize your YouTube Account . You can also check out The Complete Guide to Building a Successful YouTube Channel , an article that highlights the importance of building an audience, what types of videos attract views, and the basics of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Success stories are fun, especially when you hear about how much money some of these people are raking in every single month (or even better, the money they make from every single click on their videos), but keep in mind that maintaining a successful YouTube channel is hard work. Don’t plan to quit your day job just yet.

Cooking Dinner? Read Up On Tips!-image

Welcome back to our Arrive Perimeter Blog. We searched online to find some of the best cooking tips. Learn what Redditors have to share! Reddit is a website where people can post content such as links, text posts, and images, which people can comment and vote on. The more popular the comments in the post, the more points they receive. Here are just a few of the many best cooking tips we found. Apply them the next time you cook in your Atlanta, GA apartment. Learn how to hold a chef's knife properly . Don’t crowd the frying pan. If you put a significantly small amount of meat in the pan, the meat comes out more tasty and caramelized. This takes a lot longer to cook all your meat than simply loading up the pan, but it makes a big difference. When cutting onions, chew gum. The increased saliva production forces you to breathe through your mouth and the moisture in the mouth absorbs the chemicals that irritate your eyes. Think of garlic as a vegetable, not a spice. Learn how long your different dishes take to cook so they're all finished at the same time (boiled potatoes take about 20 minutes to cook, carrots and turnips take longer, steamed asparagus takes about 4 minutes after the water boils, and a thin steak is well done in 12 minutes). Knowing when to start cooking each food can make the difference between eating a delicious stir fry with firm vegetables or a slimy plate of mush. Salt the steaks before they hit the pan by an hour or more. You'll get yummy crust steaks every time. Calibrate your oven temperature. Just because it says 350 degrees doesn’t mean it’s 350 degrees. A small amount of sugar helps balance out the flavors if you’ve accidentally added too much of something. Too much salt? No problem. Thanks for reading this month’s blog post. We hope you have a great month in Atlanta!
