3 Signs You're About to Get Fired
Welcome back to the Arrive Perimeter Blog. Today, we’re sharing three signs your job could be in jeopardy. Take a few minutes in your apartment to read through today’s blog post and see if it might be time to start job hunting in Atlanta, GA. 1. Poor Performance Reviews Just because you’ve received one or more bad performance reviews does not mean you’re going to get fired, but it can mean that time is coming. If your performance rating has to do with lack of training, employers will most likely accommodate your needs with a specific plan in place. If you’re placed on an improvement plan, don’t take it to mean that you’re getting fired. You might just be paranoid. Everyone could be rooting for you to make it. Are you? 2. You’re being Micromanaged If your boss is looking over your every shoulder, it can cause some uncomfortable situations. You might feel overwhelmed. You probably feel a lack of trust. If your boss has all of a sudden been micromanaging you, then this could be a sign that your job is in jeopardy. 3. Bad Relationship with your Boss It’s not too uncommon: you have a close, even friendly, relationship with your boss and now you don’t. Your manager might even avoid you; this is a definite red flag . “When the decision has been made, your manager will not want to converse with you any more than necessary lest a word should slip that lets you in on the plan. He has most likely chosen the perfect time to tell you the bad news and has no desire to change that. He may be waiting for the end of a pay period or the completion of a project you're involved in.” Of course, this could just be speculation. Almost any relationship can be repaired. Prove that you can be a reliable employee. Complete that project you’ve been promising you’d finish and be on time for work to start. There are plenty of things you can do to repair a poor boss-to-employee relationship . Share any other signs that your job might be in trouble by commenting below. Thanks for reading!
